CV

The CV is not else than
a self-advertisement,
which eases (or hardens)
to be successful on the
labour market.

To be convincing and effective,
you have to observe some rules.

The layout of a CV:

Header
(it can be a textbox): name, letter-address (address, phone number, e-mail). The header is not obligatory! If you don’t have it, you can start your CV with personal details. .

  • The name has to be the same with the one in your identity card.
  • Never use e-mail or phone number of your workplace.
  • Be careful and do not use silly e-mail address (i.e:honeybunny@hotmail.com), better to use something more serious (your_name@hotmail.com).

Personal details:
date of birth, marital status, address, postal address (if it is not the same), phone numbers
If you use header, you could let these information to the end of CV.

Career aims:
Compose in a few sentences, what are your main professional objectives for long and short-term, and the relations to the applied position.

  • It is worth to write down that aim, which is in relation with the applied position, if you have more.
  • Forbear from stereotyped sentences!

Education, qualification:
You have to write these in reverse time order, because the employers are interested in the most up-to-date and highest education or qualification level.

  • You should write down the qualification name by all. If you haven’t finished your studies yet, you have to declare the expected end-date.
  • You don’t have to enumerate the subjects, only the name of the courses.
  • You don’t have to mention elementary school!
  • You can take out some qualifications, which are not connected to the applied position, it doesn’t mean misdirection.

Professional experience(s):
The reverse time order is also recommended here. Please do not forget to assign the exact date of your filled positions beside your title and the name of the company. The same titles can cover different tasks, so please write down in a few sentences, what was your scope of activities and competences.
  •  If you worked in many places, please detail only that one, which are in connection with the applied position.
  • If you worked in many places, you can leave out the irrelevant ones, but don’t leave gaps in your CV. The easiest way to mark only the year of work, and not the month . In that case you have to prepare for the interview, and there complete the order of your jobs.

Skills: the most important characters of your personality to fill the position (communication skill, creativity)

Knowledge: type-writing, computer knowledge, command of languages and their levels, driving license, trainings and courses.
